Digital Marketing Grants That Are Available in Singapore

COVID-19 has prompted more businesses across the globe, including Singapore, to digitize operations. However, some are not able to keep up with the demands due to financial and skill constraints.

The Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) is offered by the Singapore government to local businesses and organisations from various industries. This is to encourage the adoption of technology solutions, equipment, and consultancy services as part of the country’s economic transformation goal.

Through PSG, businesses or organisations will be able to apply for funding to update and simplify their processes. Digital marketing grants are among the funding support included in PSG.

If you’re interested in applying for a PSG digital marketing grant, it helps to partner with a PSG pre-approved vendor. You can save on marketing costs by receiving all the services you need from a single agency.

Let’s talk more about digital marketing grants, aside from PSG, that are available in Singapore.

  • Enterprise Development Grant (EDG)

This grant seeks to help Singaporean companies flourish and transform in the digital era. It helps business owners to upgrade their operations or ventures, whether domestic or overseas, under three pillars.

First is the “core capabilities,” where businesses are assisted in terms of strengthening their foundations, such as accounting. The second is “innovation and productivity,” where companies are encouraged to identify areas for growth, such as using automation to improve their work processes.

The last is “market access” for companies that are looking to expand their reach abroad. The fund includes costs for software and equipment and third-party consultancy, among others.

  • Ecommerce Booster Package (ESG)

This programme helps local retailers to offer their products across different e-commerce platforms—Shoppee, Lazada Singapore, Amazon, or Qoo10.

Aside from the funding support, qualified applicants can also apply for manpower support so they can expand their business. Applicants must have a physical storefront and B2C products ready for sale. They must also be registered as a retail company in Singapore on or before March 31, 2020.

The registration for this offer, however, has already ended on November 16, 2021. It was designed especially for SMEs that were severely affected by the pandemic.

  • Start Digital Pack

The Start Digital Pack was launched in January 2019 for the benefit of small and medium enterprises. It’s under the Go Digital Programme of the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).

Thousands have already benefited from the programme since its launch. SMEs are encouraged to go digital for their operations, especially those who are only starting their business and aren’t familiar yet with digitization.

Digital Marketing is included in the categories covered by the grant. Accounting, HR management systems and payroll, digital transactions, and cybersecurity are some of the other areas where SMEs may seek assistance.

Maximise your digital marketing grants with the right partner

Going digital doesn’t have to be complicated. With the right partner, you can navigate this new chapter for your business with ease and confidence. Often, comprehensive digital marketing packages in Singapore already include analysis, strategy development, and content creation.

A professional team can also handle digital marketing campaigns and website optimisation. Look for a vendor with a diversified portfolio that includes your vertical. With the right agency, you can yield a high return on investment and make the most of your digital marketing grants.
